Logistics Team Leader

About the position

As Logistics Team Leader, you will be responsible for part of the operational process within the department where products are repackaged from bulk packaging and prepared for internal distribution. You manage a team of about 50 employees and ensure that the daily operation runs smoothly, efficiently and according to schedule. You will work in two fixed shifts (06:00-14:00 or 14:00-22:00) and run a Saturday shift once every six weeks during the peak season.

  • He supervise, manage and develop employees and assistant team leaders, including performance and development reviews.
  • To monitor and optimize logistics processes in the department.
  • He reporting KPIs and suggesting improvements.
  • Translating the workload into smart staff schedules.
  • To ensure clear handover between shifts.

What we are looking for

  • Higher education or relevant work experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years leadership experience in a logistics or retail environment (e.g. team leader, assistant supermarket manager, shift leader).
  • Coaching skills and the ability to motivate people.
  • Experience in a distribution center or retail is a plus.
  • Good command of the Dutch language (min. B2).
  • Experience with Office 365.
  • Willingness to work in two shifts.
