About the position
For a rapidly growing international organization, we are looking for a Financial Controller. Within the European Finance team you will play a key role in ensuring high quality financial reporting and a solid accounting foundation. You will work closely with senior finance management and have the opportunity to get to know a complex international operating model and multiple European entities up close. In this role you will make a direct impact on both internal and external reporting. You like a dynamic environment where a lot is happening and pace is high. You are analytically strong, accurate and like to take initiative. You think in solutions, look beyond standard processes and actively contribute to improvements. With at least three years of experience in accounting and/or audit, you have built a solid foundation. You communicate clearly, enjoy working together and keep an overview, even when several projects are running simultaneously. You have the ambition to grow, take responsibility and help build a professional and cozy team. In this role your responsibilities include:
- Monthly and quarterly closings for corporate accounting
- Analysis of budget versus realization for management reports
- Supporting the annual budget process
- Monitoring compliance around internal and external funding agreements
- Preparing and reviewing VAT and corporate tax returns
- Maintaining a European tax forecasting model
- Cashflow forecasting and optimization of cash management
- Supporting treasury activities
- Preparing and reviewing financial statements of European entities
- Signaling and implementing process and system improvements
- Supporting ad-hoc projects within finance
What we are looking for
- Minimum of 3 years of experience within accounting, audit or controlling
- Solid communication skills
- Team player with a proactive work attitude
- Ability to independently get things done
- Affinity with systems and process optimization

- Salary between €4.300 – €5,000 gross per month, depending on experience
