HR Business Partner

About the position

For one of our clients in North Holland, we are looking for a proactive and hands-on HR Business Partner to join the HR team. In this role, you will be the trusted sparring partner for both managers and employees. You will build a solid HR foundation, ensure careful legal compliance and play an active role in creating a positive, healthy and engaged work culture. You will work closely with various departments, from sales and production to engineering and finance, and advise on the entire employee lifecycle: from onboarding to offboarding. In doing so, you will be supported by two experienced HR assistants who keep the operational HR processes running smoothly. You will also be part of an international HR team with colleagues in the United States, Germany and India, among others. In this dynamic environment, you will regularly work together in cross-cultural project teams and report directly to the Chief HR Officer.

  • You will be the first point of contact for managers and employees on all HR-related questions.
  • You provide expert advice on Dutch employment law, including contracts, terminations, terms of employment and the collective labor agreement Metalektro.
  • You provide support and guidance on personnel issues, conflict resolution, disciplinary processes and grievance procedures.
  • You work with management on engagement, retention and team development.
  • You manage all HR administration, including onboarding and offboarding.
  • You contribute to the growth of the organization with innovative and talent-focused recruitment solutions.
  • You support payroll processes and liaise with external payroll providers.
  • You ensure compliance with Dutch labor laws and internal guidelines.
  • You implement and improve HR policies, tools and processes tailored to local needs.
  • You lead or support HR projects and organizational changes.

What we are looking for

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HR, Law, Business Administration or similar studies.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an HR Business Partner or HR consultant.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Dutch labor law and HR best practices.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • You know how to coach and influence managers and employees in a professional manner.
  • You communicate strongly, both in Dutch and English.
  • You work with integrity, discretion and professionalism.
  • You have excellent organizational and problem solving skills.
